Joni Eskridge
Beautiful, Julie. The color around the eyes and the black and white coloring of this Anhinga are really beautiful. Nice clear close-up. Wonderful work!
Julie Adair replied:
Thank you Joni. This is the wonderful colors they develop during breeding season. The female has a green ring around the eye and the male you see here gets more of a blue color.
Marnie Patchett
BEAUTIFUL!
Julie Adair replied:
Thank you Marnie, breeding season brings out the lovely colors around the eye.
Craig Corwin
Wow Julie. Beautiful capture. We don't have these out here on the west coast. I have never seen a photo of them with their feathers sticking up on their heads. This is beautiful!!! L/F
Julie Adair replied:
Thank you Craig. This Anhinga does not always look like this. It is breeding season for them here in Florida. So they have the color around the eye and that crown on their heads. They are beautiful when you see them like this.
Linda Crockett
